Sun Expansion

The increasing Sun

The Sun is a star that has lighted for about 5 thousand million years, and it has probably the same amount of time left to light. The light is made by a fusion process in the kernel of the star. Hydrogen are made into Helium in this fusion, and a lot of energy is freed. The Helium will remain in the middle of the kernel, and the fusion are taking place on the surface of the kernel. As time is going, the amount of Helium in the kernel is growing. This makes the fusion process to expand further and further away from the center of the kernel to find enough free Hydrogen. The Sun expansion is on its way - the Sun is growing toward the Earth!

A planet of ash

In 3-5 thousand million years, the Sun has grown so much that human life on Earth is impossible. Oceans will evaporate, and the Earth will become a planet of ash.

We must escape!

The only solution for humankind to survive this crises of Sun expansion, is to escape from the Sun system!
