Volcanoes and earthquakes happens out of control for the humans. The best we can do is to watch, and evacuate people when a volcano is building up. Earthquakes are harder to forecast. These disasters cause only local threats for the life. Even though smoke and ash from a big volcano can affect the temperature on the Earth, this will only last for a limited couple of years.
